Accessibility and Seating

All Heritage Theatre Festival performances take place in the UVA Department of Drama’s state-of-the-art theatre complex. This season will utilize the 520-seat Culbreth Theatre with proscenium stage and the 300-seat Ruth Caplin Theatre with a thrust stage. Both theatres are handicap accessible. In the Ruth Caplin Theatre, Row H is on the same level as the lobby. All other seating is accessed by stairs. Wheelchair seating is available in Row H.

Bringing Children

We welcome theatre goers of all ages!  For safety reasons all patrons, large and small, require tickets.  Children must be able to sit in a seat by themselves and enjoy a full-length production (about two hours); babes in arms are not permitted.  Strollers are not allowed in the theatre.  Parents are always the best judge of what is appropriate for their child.
